Factory hours are:  Monday - Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm

Salary Description: $40 - $49 hr. depending on experience

Responsibilities

General

 

* Administration of Zierick Manufacturing Corporation Policies & Practices

* Participate in MRB, ECN , Engineering, and Management Meetings

* Set and prioritize departmental goals

* Develop and maintain training materials and procedures

 

Work with the Plant Manager to:

  • Determine labor Requirements for Tool Room
  • Prepare departmental budgets
  • Control expenditures

* Conduct annual performance reviews

* Recruit, train, and counsel employees

* Administer apprenticeship program

 

Job Specific

 

* Repair, modify, build and set dies

* Work with Press Room Supervisor Scheduling the Work Orders for the Tool Room

* Troubleshooting problems within the Tool Room, Press Department, QC, and Assembly

* Administer machine maintenance program.

* Understanding of the tools maintained and what spare components are needed to keep them running.

* Support tooling needs of other departments:

o Headers

o Applicator

o EDM Department (Small Blanks, Shim Packs, Various Thickness Blocks, Possible fixtures, working with Les to make the work that comes out of EDM easier for the Tool room.

o Assembly ( Cutoff Components, Bodine, Standardizing Components)

o Plating ( Spare Parts , Plating Brush Assembly’s )

o Tool Crib ( Spare Parts for each Tool, Material Inventory, Heat Treating Material, Toolmaker Inventory: drill bits, grinding wheels, etc)

* Work with Chief Engineer to learn tool design

* Organizing the prints and make it that the toolmakers are able to access the models / prints to make their lives easier and to not have to bother Les as much)

* Multislide –, document all the changeovers and create an inventory of the spare parts

* Organize and maintain Engineering / RFQ Projects

* Reassign and teach other Tool Makers to work on the following tools (T-2451, T-2465, T-2475, T-2334, T-2482, T- 2249, T-2461, T-2368, T-2428 , T-2339, T-2452)

* Manage Tool Room time(blue) sheets
